1948	Max Knopf founded Max Knopf Inc. in Brooklyn, New York - one man, one truck
1970	Michael Knopf joins business and M&M Knopf Auto Parts Inc. is formed.
1977	Marshall Knopf joins business to help carry out the new growth strategy.
1982	M&M Knopf sells first core ecm (electronic control module) to be production remanufactured in the United States.
1997	Knopf partners with Delco Remy. Supplies them cores for their 5 million unit/year remanufacturing operation.
1998	Knopf expands into their seventh warehouse handling over 10 million cores from over 5,700 suppliers.
1999	Delco Remy determines Knopf to be best in class and the largest core supplier, metals processer and marketer of new OE parts.
2000	Delco Remy International buys M&M Knopf
2004	Remy Racing and Performance Parts formed to expand new products marketing to the racing and restoration markets.
2007	M&M Knopf Flint earns ISO 9001.
2008	Knopf family buys the assets of M&M Knopf back from Remy and renames the company Knopf Automotive!
