British Columbia Top Requested Parts Report
There is a report available exclusively to auto recyclers in British Columbia. It lists the top 52 requested part types in British Columbia (and for most of those 52 parts, the report lists the 30 most-requested interchange numbers) (Based on Q1 2022 data)
We encourage you to use this report to determine which parts to price (and inventory). This report is confidential and cannot be shared outside your organization. For information about how to access this report, contact Ron Van Raamsdonk at RonV@car-part.com or 250-704-9702.
ICBC Pricing Requirements and Top 20 Requested Parts
Beginning April 30, 2024, auto recyclers are required to include pricing on a minimum of 60% of their 'A' grade auto parts inventory that are listed in the Car-Part system. This requirement applies to the top 20 requested auto parts categories, in the B.C. market, through the Car-Part system.
If an auto recycler does not meet this requirement, they will be removed as an ICBC preferred supplier. Additionally, their inventory will be removed from the main search results for ICBC repair facilities using the integrated Mitchell - Car-Part Pro workflow. Non-preferred auto recyclers will still be able to respond to Request for Quote (RFQ) searches, however, their inventory will no longer be displayed in the results for ICBC claims in the Car-Part system.
