CrashLink Latest Features:
Labor Time, Trading Partners, and Printing
|
We recently released a few new features to CrashLink, and we're excited to tell you about them!
|
Labor Times
In CrashLink, you can now see Labor Time (Remove and Replace) information for many parts. This shows up on your Pricing/Information screen after you do a search.
Remember, this is Remove and Replace information. If you're only removing the part, take that into account when you're calculating how much work it will be!
This information is available as an optional upgrade. (So if you don't want it, you don't have to pay for it.) To learn more (or if you're ready to upgrade), contact your sales rep.
|
Trading Partners
You'll now also see a T-P link (in the OEM column, right by the Web link). Click this link to easily search for this part on Trading Partners.
|
Print Information
You may have noticed a new Print button in the top right corner of your CrashLink screen. This helps you print the page's information. Just click Print and then select:
- Selected Item - prints detailed information about the 1 part that is selected/highlighted in your list.
- All Items - prints basic information about all items in your list.
- Image Only - prints an image of the 1 part that is selected/highlighted in your list.
After you've made your selection, click Print to print, and then Close to return to the Pricing/Information page.

Car-Part.com Marketplaces Interchange Update and CCPA Changes
|
Later this week, Car-Part.com marketplaces (including Car Part Pro and individual recycler websites) will be updated to Car-Part Interchange version 85.3. We will email you again when this is done.
This interchange release was delayed because development resources were devoted to California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) efforts. Under the CCPA, VINs and claim numbers may be considered personal information. As a result, Car-Part has decided to collect only VIN prefixes (the first 11 digits of a VIN) during part searches, and will change the last 6 digits of a VIN (if provided as part of the search criteria) to asterisks (*). Additionally, Car-Part has decided to one-way encrypt (hash) any claim numbers provided as part of search criteria to further limit the potential personal information that it collects during part searches.
