Will insurers and repairers choose your parts?
|
Imagine that you knew some of most popular parts searched for by insurers and repairers on the Integrated Car Part Pro (iPro) marketplace.
Not only that, but imagine you could easily find these parts you already have in inventory so you could make sure they are inventoried, graded, and priced (so insurers and repairers can find them on iPro and buy them from you).
You don't have to just imagine it anymore: Introducing Checkmate's 20 Popular Collision Parts (Excel report).

This report is based on search and demand data from the iPro marketplace. This report shows you 20 popular collision parts, and matches it up to the parts you have in your inventory.
Use this report to:
- Grade parts! If your parts aren't graded, repairers and insurers won't see them. iPro buyers build profiles, so their search results only include parts that meet their criteria (for warranty, delivery, part grade, and more). Nearly all repairers and insurance companies have criteria for grade, so parts without a grade don't even show up when they search!
- Price parts! Some of the most frequent feedback we get is that shops want recyclers to price more parts. Many shops won't bother to call and ask - they will just keep scrolling until they find a part that someone else did price (or they use a different kind of part such as OEM, aftermarket, or remanufactured).
- Inventory parts! If there are any 20 popular collision parts (shown at the top of the report) that you don't have many in stock, make sure those part types are on your parts lists in Partmate so that you can build up your inventory (maintain your parts lists in Partmate on the Edit > Parts List window).

You can see a summary of the parts you have in inventory by part type on the Inventory Summary tab.
