In Car-Part Messaging (iCPM), you can now send images in 1-on-1 chats! When you add a photo to a chat, it appears as a link - and whoever you're chatting with can click it to view the image. It works when chatting with other recyclers, repair shops, insurance companies, and retail customers. Watch a video demo here, or keep reading:
You can add photos to messages a few different ways.
- Drag and drop – Simply click the image file, and drag into the space where you type messages.

- Copy/Paste – Right-click the image file, and click Copy. Then right-click in the space where you type messages, and click Paste.

- Image Button – Click the Image button to open a file explorer window. Find your image in that window, and click the Upload button.

Viewing Images from Messages
In iCPM, the images appear as links. Click the link, and the image opens in a new window.

Who Can Send Images
- Only recyclers and iPro shoppers with our chat software can send images (it works in both English and French software).
- Shops can also be able to drag and drop images from the Mitchell estimating system directly into iPro Client chats.
- A customer using Live Chat on Car-Part.com or Car Part Pro will not be able to send you images, but you can send messages with images to them.

More New Features Coming Soon to iCPM and iPro Client software:
- Later this summer, you'll be able to drag and drop images from Checkmate!
- Soon, image sharing will be expanded to include iCPM Sales Rooms, too! You'll be able to respond to a broadcast request with a photo of your part!
- We're also working on integrations that will help you answer iCPM messages from your phone, tablet, and other chat programs using your iCPM account! You'll be able to stay available, even when you're not at your computer.
- In Canada, we're deploying a Request for Quote (RFQ) feature that will make it easy for shops to request quotes through their iPro Client and iCPM, for parts they don't find in the iPro online search (a great way to meet the need when there are backordered parts). This RFQ feature sends all of the parts from their estimating system directly to recyclers for easy quoting and upselling via iCPM.
